NMD was built by athletes who have experienced the game at every level - youth, collegiate, professional, and international competition.

Beach soccer has changed the way we see the game. It has challenged us, connected us with people around the world, and reminded us that soccer can be creative, joyful, gritty, and freeing.

At NMD, we want to share that experience with more athletes. Whether you are a youth player discovering the game, an athlete looking for a new way to grow, or a player ready to take the next step into the professional world, the sand creates a space to build confidence, resilience, creativity, and love for the game.

From growing up in Chicago and Southern California to playing college and professional soccer across the country and overseas, our founders know firsthand what it takes to grow as an athlete. These experiences guide how we coach, mentor, and develop programs that challenge athletes while building confidence, skill, and a lifelong love for the game.

Why Beach Soccer?

Why the Sand Matters

Beach soccer is one of the most powerful development tools in the game.

Training in the sand challenges players to become stronger, quicker, more balanced, and more creative. The uneven surface builds strong feet, sharper reactions, better body control, and explosive movement that can carry back into the grass game.

But the sand builds more than athletic ability.

It gets kids outside.

Beach soccer gets kids outside, moving, breathing, and connecting.

In a world where young athletes spend so much time indoors, on screens, and under pressure, the beach creates space.

Space to move.

Space to compete.

Space to laugh.

Space to fall, get back up, and keep going.

The sand grounds players in the moment. It brings them back to the simple joy of playing, competing, and being part of a team.

Training in the sand can directly support a player’s grass game.

For field players, beach soccer helps develop strength, agility, confidence, and creativity. Because the ball moves differently in the sand, players also learn to make quicker decisions, adjust their body, clean up their first touch, and think creatively under pressure.

For goalkeepers, the sand provides a softer surface to practice diving, landing, uneven surface increases quick reactions, and recovery movements with less impact.

NMD Coaches & Mentors

At NMD, our coaches and mentors are more than people who run sessions.

They are players, leaders, and role models who understand how powerful beach soccer can be for an athlete’s development. Our team is here to create a space where players feel seen, supported, and challenged. Through clinics, camps, tournaments, and mentorship, our coaches help athletes grow not only as soccer players, but as people.

What We Believe

At NMD, we believe beach soccer can build more than better players. It can build confidence, connection, resilience, and opportunity.

Learning Through Experience

We believe some of the best lessons in sport come through experience — training, competing, traveling, adapting, failing, growing, and learning from different teams and communities.

Mentorship Matters

We believe mentorship can change the way young athletes see themselves and what they believe is possible.

Giving Back

Beach soccer has given us opportunities to see the world, build friendships, and grow through the game. Through NMD, we want to give those lessons back to the next generation.

More Access. More Opportunity.

We believe girls, women, and youth players deserve more access, more visibility, and more pathways in beach soccer.

Built Through the Sand

We believe the sand builds stronger athletes and stronger people — through creativity, bravery, confidence, and community.

At NMD, we are building more than a club.

We are building a community, pathway, & place where players belong.
